Six questions about internet funding

1 - How many jobs will be created by the stimulus fund investment in broadband?

2 - How many jobs created will be part of the private sector?

3 - Would we be better off with a satellite distribution of the internet? Is this alternative possible?

4 - Should efforts be made to limit porn, terrorist activity, or other criminal behavior on the broadband funded by the stimulus fund?

5 - Should cable companies participate in the cost of broadband expansion since they will participate in the distribution of entertainment media over the internet?

6 - Should we encourage an alternative to travel through internet conferencing, perhaps using public places as conference sites?

Welcome ASBA Toastmasters!

Last week, I spoke to the club about the broadband technology internet program. Our federal government is preparing to spend 7 billion dollars to expand broadband use in this country. What do you think about the spending and investment plan?

By the way, we can continue using this blog for other discussions besides the topic of my speech. Any thoughts about this discussion forum?
